The Final Helton Update

Yesterday was surgery #12 to remove the wound vac and the pic line! We are home with no lines or machines! He still has a recovery time of 6-8 weeks for his leg to heal completely. During that time he will have an office visit with his surgeon once a week just to make sure he is healing. His skin doner site and his leg are still bandaged up and require daily dressing changes. This will hopefully be an easy task compared to what we have dealt with. He is still out of school and will be until he is fully healed. Luckily, our awesome teacher is coming to our home twice a week for an hour each time to make sure he isn't falling too far behind. Reason #8,274 why Jenks Schools are awesome! I know we have said it many times but there truly are not enough words to show our gratitude for our wonderful family and friends for all you have done for us over the past month! We have learned a lot about how to cope during adversity, how to help others and most importantly how to lean on our Lord and Savior, Jesus! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
