E = Exciting

That is the only word that I can use to describe our weekend. Let's start at the beginning. Thursday afternoon, Kennedy and I drove to my parents house so we could begin our adventure on Friday. Kevin stayed home this weekend so that he could rest up for next weekend, which is another post, and he needed some Kevin time. Back to Thursday....Kennedy went to the beauty shop to get her hair trimmed and then stayed with Papa while Mom and I went to see a movie, Nights in Rodanthe. Great flick and don't forget to take your kleenex if you go! Once Kennedy found out we were gone, poor Papa found himself in the mist of a crying game. Thank goodness Gigi and Caitlin came to the rescue. After a good nights rest, we, Nana, Papa, me, Kennedy and Caitlin, packed up and headed south to Waco Texas for the much anticipated OU-Baylor football game. This was Kennedy's first OU game. The girls did well traveling and were happy to stretch their legs when we got to the hotel. We met up with Gamma and Grandpa for dinner at Buzzard Billy's. A loud enough place that Kennedy did not offend anyone and could run around a bit. We went back to the hotel after dinner and everyone was in bed at 9!! Even the big kids!! Saturday morning came a bit to early for some that are not morning people, mostly me. Papa was ready to go at 5:30 and the rest of us slow risers were all up by 7. I did have to share my bed with Catilin, which is like sleeping with an octopus! What is it with kids and crazy sleeping?? Anyway, we were out the door and tailgating by 8:30. Not too bad. It was quite a large occasion to say the least. We were met by my sister-in-law, brother-in-law, nephew, brother, another sister-in-law, in-laws and several other friends. The game was at 11:30 so my ongoing thought was how to get Kennedy to take a small nap so she is not miserable the rest of the day. She finally went down, with a fight, about 10 and slept for about an hour. Enough time to give her a boost for the rest of the day. Close to game time we all packed up and began the walk. We all sat together and it was neat to see Kennedy so enthralled with all of the action. She clapped alot and was excited to see the band. Not a bad adventure for her to never remember. We began driving home about 3:30 and we pulled into Nana's house about 7:30. Enough time for Kennedy to run around and then go to bed. Everyone was exhausted when we got home and of course Kennedy wanted to play. By 10, we were all asleep. That leads me to today....today is Caitlin's birthday party. Her big day is not until Wednesday but we are going to party today. Lots of cake and ice cream to be had by all. Tomorrow, Kennedy and I will head back home to see Kevin. Although I am sure he has enjoyed his time off, I know he can't wait to see us and we can't wait to see him. Until tomorrow......

It sounds like you and your family had a great time! Don't worry - she may not remember - but you always will! :)

I'm exhausted just reading that! Sounds like a good time though.
